Environmental statement of the uvex group

We accept personal responsibility and voluntarily perform more environmental
protection than legally required. We practise environmental protection tailored to us, implemented and performed daily by our employees. Over the years, environmental awareness and its implementation have become more and more important and are now an integral component and necessity in our day-to-day business.

The protection of the environment, the consumer, and our employees has great
significance in our company policies. Along with the objective of improving the
company’s competitiveness, responsibility for our employees and protecting the
environment are equally important. uvex wants to achieve a totally integrated
environmental protection; not only those with specific responsibilities for
environmental protection, but every individual employee has the obligation to
protect the environment:

• We qualify our employees and motivate them to be committed, competent, and
  environmentally conscious.
• We make an effort for our operations to have a low environmental impact, and to provide a safe working environment for our employees.
• Consideration is given to the economical use of resources in product development and throughout all implementation steps, such as production, storage, and transport.
