Process Mechanic in Plastic and Rubber Engineering

The profession of process mechanic in plastics and rubber engineering offers good prospects for the future. The apprenticeship covers a broad range of topics: among other things, you’ll learn how to install injection-molding tools and how to set and optimize various parameters, you’ll gain an insight into the quality assurance process and you’ll produce your own practice pieces. The required theoretical knowledge is taught at the vocational training institute in Dinkelsbuehl.

Educational qualifications: General high school certificate (Qualifizierender Hauptschulabschluss) or intermediate high school certificate (Mittlere Reife)            
Required skills: Sound knowledge of mathematics, basic knowledge of industrial drawing and chemistry, ability to think logically, good surface area and volume estimation skills, good craftsmanship skills            
Length of apprenticeship: 3 years            
Location of apprenticeship: Fuerth, Dinkelsbuehl            
Begin of apprenticeship: September 1            
Apprenticeship covers: Plastic injection molding & Mold construction
